403 Albert is almost certainly not the child of Abraham Osmnun. I was able to find Abraham in 1860 living with his brother and his father in Essex County, New Jersey where he appears to be single, or at least without a woman living with the family who could possibly be his wife.

I do not know if Albert is the son of Alida. I cannot find her anywhere in the 1860 census.

413 From Manning Monitor Newspaper May 11,1900 OBITUARY - Lydia Woolman May 11, 1900 Manning Monitor A LONG LIFE ENDED. At the age of 104 years Mrs. Lydia Woolman passed away on Saturday, May 5, at the home of her son, Miles Woolman, in this city. What a remarkable age when one considers that the average time allotted mortal is thirty-three and a third years. Mrs. Woolman was the oldest of the very few people in Iowa who can look back over a century. Her mind was clear to the very last, when she closed her eyes as if to fall asleep, but it was a sleep that knows .no awakening here upon earth. Mrs. Woolman has had an interesting and eventful career. She was born in Dutchess County, New York, her parents being Albert Finch and his wife. In 1803, with her parents, she removed to Ontario County, in the same state, locating near Lake Honeoye. Here she met Hirman Woolman to whom she was married in 1824. In 1828, Mr. and Mrs. Hirman Woolman removed to Michigan, and in 1861 to Iowa, locating in Buchanan County. Mrs. Woolman was the mother of six children, three of whom are living; Miles J. of this city; Martha, of Kansas City, Missouri; and Martin J. of Gilmore City. Mrs. Woolman has passed through many exciting experiences. Her father was a "minute man" of the revolutionary times. She had two brothers in the army, and one engagement with the British was so close to their home that they could plainly see the battle. Shortly after moving to what was called Armeda north of Detroit, Michigan, her son was captured by the Indians, and although diligent search was made he was never found. Two of her sons were murdered by a couple of men in their employment while driving a herd of horses through Nevada, the murderers subsequently being captured and hung. Mrs. Woolman had been blind for several years, although her eyes appeared bright and in their natural strength. She liked to have the newspapers read to her and took a great interest in what was going on in the world about her. The funeral was held from the Presbyterian Church last Sunday at 2 o'clock p.m., the Rev. C.L. McLeod officiating, after which, the remains were interred in the Manning Cemetery. www.davidkusel.com/alumni/memorial1/lydia-woolman.htm Finch, Lydia (P12892)

422 Many people believe John B. Oglesby to be the son of John Knight Oglesby and Mary Elizabeth Rowe. He was not. The confusion began when John Knight married Lucinda Emmaline Bennett Tichenor in 1864. Her husband, Jared, had died in 1862. John Knight Oglesby's wife, Mary Elizabeth, died in 1863.

Lucinda and Jared had a son, John B Tichenor, who was born on 6 Dec 1857. He is found living with them in 1860. In 1860, there is no John B Oglesby living with John and his wife, Mary E.

In the 1870 census for Ohio County, John and Lucinda are living together and Lucinda's children have been given the Oglesby surname. That is where John B. Tichenor turns into John B. Oglesby, but only for that census. In 1880, John Tichenor is living in Ohio County, Kentucky with his brother, Aaron Tichenor. John Oglesby is living with a Hughes family in Union County, Kentucky.

If you look at the death certificate for John B. Oglesby, the place of his birth is given by his son-in-law, Oscar Baker, as "Kaseyville, Ky." Caseyville is in Union County, Kentucky.

436 please find that i have saved additional docs to this family in your shoebox; after wanda's father married his 2nd wife, mildred seils or mildred miller he had a 2nd daughter, darlene about 1838. they are listed in the 1840 census however, the census taker mistakenly lists them as william and mildred perros. you can see daughter, darlene 11/12 yr old and william's step son , a seils 15 living with them. darlene is mentioned in wanda's obit as her sister, darlene konkle of michigan. this lead me to think the sister must have come later and be a penrod. i did not want to make changes to your tree, but if you find the census record in your shoebox check it out. rhonda
